Chiropractors who have completed their primary training in a jurisdiction other than New Zealand do not receive education in aspects of healthcare unique to New Zealand, particularly in cultural competency and the medico-legal environment.
In July, the Chiropractic Board (the Board) published a consultation document outlining a proposal to introduce a Recertification programme for newly registered overseas-trained chiropractors.
